Establishment
Madhya Pradesh Bhoj (Open) University (MOBOU) was established under the Act of State Assembly in 1991 to:
Extend and expand Higher Education by reaching the un-reached through various flexible means, including Open and Distance – Learning (ODL) using emerging communications and technology.
•Determine/maintain standards and promote Distance Education via innovative technologies and methodologies.
Objectives-
To develop appropriate collections, both printed and e-version, in various disciplines to satisfy the needs of diverse stakeholders.
To provide reading lending, reference, information, and documentation facilities to all categories of users of the MPBOU Community.
To provide comprehensive reference /information services to the users.
Collection
The Library has a collection of books on various subjects such as:
Science: Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Zoology, Mathematics, Computer Science
Social Science: History, Geography, Political Science, Social Work, Library and Information Science, Research Methodology, Commerce, Management, Education, Sociology
Humanities: Hindi Literature, English Literature, English language, Linguistics, Psychology,
In addition to printed books, the Library is also procuring electronic books and journals.
