STUDENT SUPPORT DEPARTMENT
Madhya Pradesh Bhoj Open University has always been a student-centric institution. Student mentoring and support has been a primary focus of the University and the residential nature of the University has made it a reality.
During their stay, students can avail of a number of support systems and servicesfor information, academic and career guidance, financial, co-curricular andextracurricular activities. The Information Desk in the Administrative Block providesnecessary information for students on all aspects of campus life. Students can make use of both the Central and departmental libraries for reference work, and computer and internet services fo rbrowsing. The Equal Opportunities Cell caters to the welfare of SC/ST students,including dissemination of information about financial support,
Other support services include redressal of Students Grievances through SMS, inhouse language laboratories, Placement Cell, Alumni Associations, and canteen. Girl students can address their grievances to the Women Grievance Cell (which also addresses sexual harassment cases). Students in need of counselling have access to professional counsellors.
The Student Support Department of MPBOU is responsible for
- developing policies and procedures for admission of learners into various academic programmes offered by the University;
- managing the processes of admission, re-registration, re-admission, credit transfer etc.;
- maintaining the database of enrolled students
- providing information and guidance to the prospective learners;
Functions and Activities
- Finalisation of Admission Prospectus;
- Notification of new programmes for admission;
- Release of admission notification in the leading newspapers
- Manage online fresh admission;
- Manage online re-registration of students;
- Facilitate readmission of students;
- Facilitate students to change elective courses, medium, programme, study centre, regional centre, name correction etc. after admission;
- Provide data/reports to various stakeholders and regulatory bodies.
